When “most” people think about bassist, they usually have a picture in mind of a guy with a piece of wood and metal hanging off of his neck. Or balancing a giant violin on a steel rod, and plucking or bowing huge strings. Well that concept has been laid to rest. In recent years there has been an emergence of female bassist in all genres of music. Traditionally in most music, the bass gig was reserved for the guys.
